Uchiha Madara’s Story, Naruto Manga Chapter 398
Uchiha Madara told Sasuke on the Naruto Manga Chapter 398, the truth about why Uchiha Itachi killed the members of the Uchiha clan. According to him, Itachi killed them as part of Uchiha Itachi’s mission from the top villagers of Konoha.
So, what might be the reason why the 3rd Hokage and other 3 top villagers of Konoha ordered Itachi to kill his fellow clan members?
Actually, it’s hard for me to believe what Madara told Sasuke for the reasons:
- Uchiha Itachi previously told Sasuke that Uchiha Madara was his mentor and at the same time the accomplice in killing the Uchiha clan members.
- One of the principles of the Hidden Village of Konoha is to protect everyone who is important to them. Killing fellow clan members is against to the principles of the Konoha villagers.
That’s why I am thinking that what Uchiha Madara was telling to Sasuke on this chapter of Naruto Manga were all lies.? I think, Madara was trying to brainwash Sasuke.

hummm… and here I thought after killing Itachi, Sasuke would come back to Konoha. If you said Madara trying to brainwash Sasuke it could turn him to fight Konoha???

Don;t think that Madara is actually lying. Such massacre may be against the THIRD’s principles but bear in mind the other three people – the two advisers and Danzou who handles the ANBU root division. It could have been that Itachi was in the root division. And the principles of these three living people who allegedly knows the truth are not in line with the Sandaime’s.
And if Madara was lying, why would he tell Sasuke that he killed his friend and brother to obtain EMS and that he confirmed Itachi’s earlier statements that he was Itachi’s accomplice?
Lies? I can’t really tell for sure, but in my own opinion, I don’t think that Madara is lying. Like the past chapter, all of the things he told Sasuke before are logical and fits well on the plot. And considering that Danzou is once again connected to this, everything makes sense. Again, it would probably be better to see what happens next. The plot thickens, and we’re right in the middle of it. Hot!

Going on what Gilgy says, he has a good point about Danzou. He did give Sai the secret mission to kill Sasuke. My guess is that if Sasuke knew the truth about his clan and why they were massacred he’d turn against Konoha and Danzou knew this!!
I don’t think Madara is lying, there’d be no reason too. Why would he go all the way back to the Firsts era. “It’s to in depth.” I do believe he’s trying to get Sasuke on side though.
Sasuke said it himself that he’ll kill anyone involved in the incident. Which means the main plot of this looks like Sasuke joining Akatuski and getting his true revenge against Konoha. Maybe just maybe Sasuke might become the main bad guy. An all out battle with Naruto and Sasuke looks on the cards.
Mandara Uchiha is telling the truth!!! All of it makes sence, just look at the storyline and the plot, and follow the series and you will know he is telling the truth…I wonder if Mandara is stronger than Pain…

i’ve been an avid naruto fan from the start. in my humble opinion i guess madara is partially lying to sasuke. you know telling some truth to convince sasuke and telling also some lies to protect himself from sasuke and to make sasuke join him in his personal ambitions. considering the reason why itachi try to protect sasuke from madara by trying to burn the former by the power he gave to sasuke. but as what madara said its good for him that he didnt tell itachi all the things he knew, like counteracting. its right to assume that all the unique jutsus of itachi is came from madara. even orochimaru never knew all of itachi’s power and were surprise to see that sword in the possession of itachi that orochimaru said he’s been looking for all of his life. for me im not assuming those that is not confirmed as dead as already dead for im guessing that author of this anime is so clever to let those persons lives intertwined with others to make the whole story worth waiting.

Also, Sasuke talked to the deamon fox who told him that he’d seen those eyes before, so Sasuke knows that madara is lying to him, he’s probably just going along to learn more from him. Since he can’t know the full truth he doesn’t have a better option, and as he is told by his team members, they’re glad he’s not being just a “tool”!
well my thoughts are that the three pple (two advisors n danzou) r e ones who ordered itachi 2 do e clan massacre without the third hokage knowing.anyway, i long time never watch n read naruto animes n mangas..so will try 2 catch up with it… haha
